Enhanced Allocation Rules View (Restricted-Access Feature)

The enhanced Allocation Rules view in Delivery Manager introduces streamlined workflows for managing carrier allocation scoring rules. This update provides direct inline controls, improved visibility into rule modifications, and a dedicated pop-up interface to create and update rules without requiring bulk export/import processes.

Note on Standard vs. Enhanced View

This page documents the enhanced Allocation Rules interface available to eligible accounts. If you are using the standard interface, please refer to the standard Carrier Allocation Rules documentation.

Enhanced Allocation Rules Capabilities & Key Features

The enhanced Allocation Rules view streamlines how you manage scoring rules directly in Delivery Manager through four core capabilities:

  • Setting Time-Bound Rule Durations

Configure optional start and end dates to automatically activate or deactivate shipping rules. This eliminates manual updates before and after promotional campaigns, seasonal surges, or temporary rate shifts.

  • In-Place Rule Editing

Modify existing rule syntax, score expressions, and descriptions directly within a streamlined pop-up interface without re-creating rules from scratch.

  • Inline Status Toggling

Instantly enable or disable individual rules straight from the grid status column, or manage multiple rules simultaneously using bulk actions.

  • Enhanced Modification Tracking

Easily audit rule history using the Last Modified timestamp column to sort configurations chronologically and identify active vs. outdated rules.

  5. Optional: Set the time frame for When do you want your rule to start and end (Optional). This option is especially helpful when shipping promotional or seasonal items.

  6. Set the initial status of the rule as Enabled or Disabled directly upon creation.

This ability also is especially helpful when shipping promotional or seasonal items.

Enable or Disable Existing Rules

You can enable or disable a single existing allocation rule, or you can manage multiple rules at a time.

Last Modified Column

The Last Modified column in the Allocation Rules grid tracks the precise date and timestamp when a rule was last edited or changed.

Click the Last Modified column header to sort your rules chronologically. This helps you quickly locate recently created, edited, or toggled rules, or identify old rules that haven't been updated in a while.

Editing the Rule? Make sure its Description matches

Ensure the updated rule logic still aligns with its description. If the description no longer matches the rule's behavior, delete the rule and create a new one to prevent confusion.
