Error Handling

This section tells you how to track any errors generated by Salesforce during interaction with the Metapack Shipping API.

Track Exceptions

In the event that an error occurred or a Consignment was not created, then an error log record will be created under Fulfillment Order.

Additionally, an email can be triggered in the case of a Salesforce exception. Refer to Exception Email Notifications.

Exception Email Notifications

An email address can be configured to receive errors during use of the Metapack Interface.

The email address can be embedded in the 'value' field of the following:

  • CAP_MP_Exception_Email_Prod custom label for Production emails.

  • CAP_MP_Exception_Email_Sandbox custom label for Sandbox emails.


Errors are also stored in the custom error message object.
