Live Status report

How can it help me?

The Live Status report gives you an overall snapshot of your shipping operation during the last 50-day rolling period.

It shows the numbers or percentages of parcels that are currently at the different tracking statuses, and how many days they have spent at those statuses.

The report allows you to:

  1. Find the parcels that have been at the different exception statuses for unacceptable time periods (e.g. parcels that have been held at the Attempted Delivery status for 7 days). Customer Service Operatives can then drill through to the associated orders in the Parcel Details tab so that they can manage customer expectations.

  2. Detect why SLAs are not being met by filtering the report through different Tracking Statuses. You can then address the associated issues with the relevant carriers.

How might I use it?

Let us say that you were concerned about the number of parcels that remained undelivered after 10 days by a particular carrier service in the UK market.

You might select the Not Delivered status followed by the United Kingdom market. The carrier service in question is then displayed so that you can drill through to the individual packages to find out the reasons:

Using the Tracking Status filter

In addition to the global filters previously described, the report provides a Tracking Status filter that allows you to reduce the default dataset by only selecting particular statuses:

All statuses are selected by default. To select the one(s) for which you wish to display data, first deselect All (so that (None) appears in the filter). Then select the one(s) required. To select a particular status, type part or all of the name at the top of the filter box (to restrict the display). Then tick it.

Note

You can adjust the Manifest Date Range so as to only view the statuses for shipments manifested during a particular time period.

You can also use the 'Slicers' (Quick Filters) to select particular ISO weeks, 'service groups' and markets.

Because the report does not automatically slice the data by individual status, with the numbers or percentages shown being for all statuses currently selected, it is advisable to select one status at a time. For example, we might select Out For Delivery in conjunction with Percentage, to show the percentages of deliveries for different markets and carriers that have still not been delivered after 10 or more days:

If you hover over one of the cells, you will see the Drillthrough link that takes you to the Parcel Details tab, e.g.

Note

For the Keep Only and Exclude options that are displayed when you hover over the filter, refer to the Keep Only/Exclude switch.

Drilling through to the Parcel Details tab

If you click on Drillthrough, the individual parcels are displayed on the Parcel Details tab, e.g.

You can use the Order Numbers and Consignment Codes on the left of the tab to identify the packages in Metapack Delivery Manager.
