For Metapack Intelligence (MI) users on the Advanced-tier, we have a new capability that allows you to set alerts and thresholds for all MI dashboards. This feature frees you from needing to monitor reports 24/7. Instead, you'll be notified when an event occurs.
-
Set Alerts: You can set conditions that, when met, will trigger an email to alert you that a threshold has been reached or exceeded.
-
Push Reports: You can set a schedule (hourly, daily, weekly) for a complete report to run and then have that report pushed to your email. You can have it send a report PDF and a link back to the dashboard.
You can set alerts for any aspect of Metapack Intelligence reporting. These automated email alerts tell you when critical thresholds are met, so you can respond quickly.
You can choose to set an alert for all carriers (shown by default) or a single carrier.
In this example, we'll set an alert in the Carrier performance overview for all carriers. On this page, the tiles show quantities of Early Parcels, On-time Parcels, Late Parcels, and Tracked Parcels. Below these tiles, you see segmented bar charts that show percentages by carrier for Early Parcels, On-time Parcels, and Late Parcels.
We will set a delivery performance alert for Early Parcels over the last 10 days for all of your carriers. You can set it for Early Parcels, On-time Parcels, Late Parcels, and Tracked Parcels.
Whenever this number exceeds a certain value (absolute value or percentage), it will trigger an alert.
-
Log in to your Metapack Intelligence account.
-
Scroll down to the Carrier performance section under Report categories and dashboards, and click Carrier performance overview.
This will open a new page.
-
Hover over the top corner of the tile you want to set an alert for to show the actions menu, then click the bell
icon.
The bell icon appears by the Parcel Count tiles and the Delivery Overview by carrier tile.
-
Set the Condition parameters, Email address, Frequency of alerts, and Time for alert delivery. Then click Save Alert.
Frequency and Decimal Value Rules
Percentages show as decimal values of 1. EXAMPLE 75% = 0.75
Frequency (as seen in step 5) is how often the check runs for the alert. For example, you can set it to run daily at 5:00 pm, or change it to hourly.
Even though you set the frequency to check every 5 minutes, the non-live reports run once daily. This would be sort of like checking the post every five minutes when it only comes once a day.
-
Choose the actions menu
to edit your alert, click New to create another alert, or click Done to finish.
-
Optional: To view or edit your alert(s), hover over the corner and click the bell
icon.
This action will open the Alerts pop-up, as seen in Step 5.
